There have been rumors before that there would be some kind of Zootopia Expansion in one of the Disney Resorts, but nobody knew where it would be. Most fans where obviously thinking Animal Kingdom, but in the end Shanghai Disneyland will get the amazing expansion!
Zootopia is an animated film from 2016 where it shows a modern world but with only Animals. The story is about Judy Hopps, the first rabbit police officer of Zootopia. Nobody roots for a rabbit to catch any criminals, but determened and with some help from a natural predator she overcomes all.
The construction of Zootopia in Shanghai will start at the end of 2019.
If a similar land will come to the other resorts we will have to wait for the next edition of D23 this summer.
